Terms and Conditions

1. Competition Period

The Dream Drive x Studio 88 Gusheshe Competition (“Competition”) runs from 22 September 2025 to 19 October 2025, both days inclusive (“Competition Period”).

2. Winners and Prizes

  • Two car winners will be selected during the Competition Period:
    1. Ordinary Competition Winner – the entrant whose chosen coordinates are closest to the Judges’ final position in the Spot the Ball process.
    2. Gusheshe Competition Winner – the entrant whose chosen coordinates, specifically allocated to the BMW 325is (“Gusheshe”), are closest to the Judges’ final position.
  • The Gusheshe Competition is treated as a standalone prize promotion in addition to the standard Dream Drive competition.
  • The Gusheshe winner may choose between:
    • The Car: a 1991 BMW 3 Series Coupe (325is), restored by Dream Drive. Delivery will take place after any required final preparations and handover arrangements, in line with Dream Drive’s standard prize delivery procedures.
    • A cash alternative of R520,000. If the winner elects the cash alternative:
      • The cash will be paid by electronic transfer within 6 (six) months of the winner’s election of the cash alternative.
      • The cash alternative does not include any additional money that may otherwise have been offered towards insurance or servicing costs for car ownership.
  • The choice of Car or cash is final once confirmed in writing by the winner.
  • Runners-Up:
    • No runners-up prizes are offered in respect of the Gusheshe Competition.
    • Runners-up will be determined only in the ordinary competition, with 2nd, 3rd and subsequent closest entrants to the Judges’ position considered.
    • Any prizes for runners-up will be awarded solely at Dream Drive’s discretion, in accordance with the Standard Dream Drive Competition Terms and Conditions.

3. Studio 88 Vouchers

  • Customers who spend R1,000 or more at any participating Studio 88 store between 11 September - 16 October will be eligible to receive a R40 Dream Drive voucher.
  • To claim this voucher, customers must WhatsApp a clear photo of their Studio 88 receipt to the official Studio 88 number at +27600126858. Upon validation, a unique Dream Drive voucher code will be issued.
  • Restriction: These vouchers are redeemable only for entries into the BMW 325is Gusheshe Competition and cannot be used for any other vehicles or promotions on the Dream Drive platform.
  • To redeem the voucher:
    1. Visit www.dreamdrive.co.za
    2. Add the BMW 325is to the cart
    3. Play Spot the Ball
    4. Enter the voucher code at checkout under “Discount Code.”
  • Tickets for the BMW 325is and all other Dream Drive competitions may also be purchased directly on the Dream Drive website at the listed ticket price.

4. The Car

  • Age and Condition:
    • The Car is more than 30 years old and is provided as a collector’s item or “classic car.” It is transferred to the winner strictly “voetstoots” (as is, with all faults, whether apparent or hidden). It should not be assumed to meet the standards, safety, or performance of a new or modern vehicle.
    • Dream Drive has made every reasonable effort to restore the Car to a healthy, drivable condition using OEM parts and reputable suppliers.
  • Authenticity:
    • To the best of Dream Drive’s knowledge, the Car is a BMW 325is model, manufactured in 1991.
    • The engine does not match the chassis number. While the Car features original components, Dream Drive does not guarantee that all parts are factory-original or consistent with factory specifications.
    • Due to the nature of classic vehicles, the full ownership and mechanical history cannot be fully verified, and Dream Drive makes no claims regarding the completeness of historic records.
  • Delivery:
    • Dream Drive may require additional time prior to handover to complete final preparations and fine-tuning.
    • Once delivered, title and risk in the Car transfer to the winner. Dream Drive shall not be liable for any issues arising after delivery.
  • Liability Disclaimer:
    • No warranty (express or implied) is provided regarding performance, reliability, safety, condition, or future maintenance.
    • The winner will be responsible for licensing, registration, insurance, maintenance, servicing, and any repairs once delivery is completed.
    • By accepting the Car, the winner acknowledges and accepts these terms in full.

5. Publicity

  • By accepting the prize, winners agree to participate in promotional activities, including photography, video, and social media content, without further compensation (unless prohibited by law).

6. General

  • Participation constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, in addition to Dream Drive’s Standard Competition Terms and Conditions available at www.dreamdrive.co.za.
  • Dream Drive reserves the right to amend these Terms for clarity, legal compliance, or operational reasons, provided such changes do not materially reduce the value of the prize.
  • In the event of dispute, Dream Drive’s decision is final and binding.
