This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website www.dreamdrive.co.za (the "Site"), participate in our competitions, and interact with our services (collectively "Services").

This Privacy Policy, together with the Dream Drive Terms of Play, applies to the relationship between you and us and the Services we provide from time to time. Unless otherwise stated, defined words in the Terms of Play will have the same meaning in this Privacy Policy, and words defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013; (hereinafter POPIA) will have those defined meanings in this Privacy Policy.

You specifically consent that we may collect and process your personal information through your access and use of the Site, during conversations or correspondence with our representatives, or when you complete an application form to register an account and when using the Services.

You have to supply the required personal information in order to utilise the Services, and failure to do so will result in your being unable to use the Services.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1. We may collect and process the following types of information about you:
  - Personal Information: Includes your name, email address, phone number, and other contact details when you register on our Site, enter competitions, or communicate with us.

1. By supplying your personal information, you consent to us processing it for the purposes for which it was provided including in relation to the provision of the Services. Information provided will be kept for as long as is necessary to fulfil that purpose, unless required otherwise by POPIA or other legislation.   - To Provide Our Services: To register you on our Site, manage your account, process transactions, and facilitate your participation in competitions.
  - To Communicate with You: To send you updates, notifications, and promotional materials related to our services, competitions, or other opportunities.
  - To Improve Our Services: To analyse how you use our Site, diagnose issues, and enhance your overall experience.
  - For Security and Fraud Prevention: To ensure the security of our Site and services, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
  - We may also collect information about your computer or mobile device, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our webmasters. This information reveals nothing personal about you. It is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns which does not identify any individual and allows us to ensure that content from our website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device.
  - Demographical and statistical information about user behaviour may be collected and used to analyse the popularity and effectiveness of our website. Any disclosure of this information will be in aggregate form and will not identify individual users.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
1. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information in the following circumstances:
  - Service Providers: With third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Site, conducting our business, or providing services to you (e.g. IT service providers).
  - Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention. Purchases made via credit card will be verified, authenticated and securely stored by Ozow, Paygate, Adumo, Peach Payments and/or Paystack. This information is not used for any other purpose by us or our financial services providers and will not be kept longer than necessary for providing the Services.
  - Legal Compliance: When required by law, or to reasonably protect our rights, property, or safety or that of our users, or to prevent and detect security threats, fraud or other malicious activity.
SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
1. We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement a range of technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please note that while we take reasonable steps to protect the security and integrity of your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
2. Information, including your personal information may be stored by third party cloud service providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Shopify. Due to its nature, cloud services are based in various locations around the world. Information is held only as long as you are a registered user of the website or as may be legally required. Information which you provide to us will be stored electronically and/or in hard copy, with reasonable security measures protecting such. However, we do work with third party contractors, some of whom host and operate certain features of the website. Accordingly, information that we collect from you may be collected in or transferred to a destination outside South Africa, and / or may be processed by staff operating outside South Africa who work for us or for one of our contractors. By submitting personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing and processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data and personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
YOUR RIGHTS
1. We make every effort to keep the personal information we hold updated, complete and accurate. It is your duty to provide us with the most up to date personal information, and we will then take reasonable steps to update your information without undue delay.
2. We strive to ensure the security of personal information we hold by taking reasonable measures to prevent destruction, unlawful access and loss of personal information. Any compromise of data integrity or confidentiality will be reported to you.

4.   - request access to any personal information we hold on you;
  - request that we rectify any personal information we hold on you; or
  - request to have your personal information removed from our records (it being understood that if we do so you will no longer be able to make use of the Services);
  - inform us if you believe that someone is impersonating or otherwise unlawfully using your account;
  - Withdraw consent where processing of the information requires consent.
6. We will require suitable proof of identity from you before we action any of the above requests.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND/OR TO THE TERMS
1. We may update this Privacy Policy and/or the Terms from time to time. When we change the Privacy Policy and/or the Terms, we will either send out a notification, or you will be required to "click-through" a notification the next time you access your profile on the Website. This will alert you that changes have been made and confirms that by clicking through you acknowledge and agree to the changes (i.e. you agree to the new Terms, acknowledge that they may limit your rights and consent to your personal information being collected and used as per the updated Privacy Policy).
